Hey y'all!

My name is Bethany Israelsen! Although some people call me Izzy, Sis Iz, Bethy, B.B...you name it!

And.....I am a NEW blogger! Who knew I would ever start a blog? Definitely not me. XD But here I am!! I am from the wonderful land of Bountiful Utah, I come from a family of 8, AND I am a twin! (And no I am not identical because it is a He....and his name is Ben haha). I'm currently a student at BYU Idaho in a little town called Rexburg :)) And I was amazed to find out that I would not ONLY be a full time student this semester, but a BLOGGER! Let's hope this blogging journey is a good experience for all of us haha

In this blog I will be sharing some of my "lil" insights into the world of Marriage and Family studies. I have always been INTRIGUED with people. It all started with a class I took called "interpersonal communications" where I learned about the WHY behind people's actions in a variety of relationships. Not only is it complicated within an individual, but within both a marriage and ESPECIALLY a family. I have come to realize that I have a strong PASSION for this topic, and that I seek to learn and discover more about it. Coming from a family of 8 has definitely helped me to experience this "family" thing for myself, as well as my LDS mission in Tucson Arizona. I was blessed with the opportunity to observe MANY different family cultures, environments, and circumstances there. And through that time I learned that family truly IS crucial to everything in our society. Family is the way the world began. And it is the WAY we will find true satisfaction and JOY in our lives today. So... I hope to unveil more valuable insights that will help us to uncover the deeper meaning of marriage and family.

There is so much DEPTH that goes on behind even one person that I still have not and probably will not fully understand. And so much that goes into the study of marriage and family. But I will attempt to share my own thoughts and discoveries with you through this "lil" blog of mine :)
